Getting started for institutions
CogniaLab lets academic coordination, counseling, and student wellbeing teams centralize psychometric assessments and team access in My institution.
Benefits for your school
- One place for your team — Invite teachers and coordinators, assign roles, and control who can sign in.
- Multiple tests and groups — Each member can create independent assessments.
- Centralized data — Results stay in the dashboard of whoever created each test.
- Exportable reports — PDFs ready for academic records and counseling processes.
- Frictionless access — Students respond with a short code, ideal for institutional events.
Recommended workflow
1. Open My institution
Administrators see My institution in the menu after they log in. From there they manage users, invitations, and platform access. See Manage users.
Public sign-up creates individual accounts. Joining an organization happens by invitation from an administrator, not through an institutional signup form.
2. Invite responsible staff
Invite homeroom teachers, counselors, or coordinators with the User or Administrator role. Each person receives an email, activates their account, and is linked to the institution. See Invite users.
3. Plan assessments
Define which groups will participate, which instrument to use (currently Gardner multiple intelligences), and application dates.
4. Create and distribute tests
Each responsible person creates their test, sets the target age, and shares the 6-letter code with their group. See Create a test.
5. Monitor participation
From My tests, each responsible person sees who has completed the assessment and accesses individual reports.
6. Use results institutionally
Reports support:
- Tutoring and group councils
- Family meetings
- Educational counseling programs
- Documentation of support processes
