Getting started for teachers

This guide takes you from zero to your first psychometric assessment in the classroom.

1. Create your account​

  1. Go to Sign up on CogniaLab.
  2. Complete your email and password.
  3. Confirm your email if the platform asks you to.
  4. Log in from Log in.
tip

If your institution invited you by email, open the link to activate your account instead of signing up on your own. See Invite users.

If you already have an account, log in and go straight to My tests in the dashboard.

2. Create your first test​

  1. In the dashboard, select New test.
  2. Choose the Multiple intelligences (Gardner) instrument.
  3. Set the target age for your group (elementary, secondary, or higher education).
  4. Optionally, write a welcome message for your students.
  5. Save the test.

When created, CogniaLab generates a 6-letter access code (for example, ABCDEF).

3. Share the code with your group​

Share the code in class, by message, or on the board. Students enter it at Enter code — they don't need an account.

4. Review results​

When students complete the assessment:

  1. Open My tests in your dashboard.
  2. Select the test to see the list of participants.
  3. Open each student's report to interpret their profile.
